In the water restoration field there are some typical causes of water damage that we hear about or cleanup on water mitigation jobs on a regular basis. Accidents in the kitchen are a frequent cause but I can say todays call from a customer looking for water restoration companies in Charlotte was one a first. the customer explained that they came in somewhat drunk this morning and went to the kitchen to make something to drink and eat after a night out on the town. Somehow the customer Bell in the kitchen and his arm hit the sink causing the water to turn on but due to his intoxication he did not realize it and turn it off. After stumbling towards the living room from the kitchen he passed out on the floor only to be awakened surrounded by water and water damage happening around him because he literally left the water running on the sink because he was drunk. when he contacted us for water restoration services he explained he did not know how long he was asleep on the floor or how long the water was running but hitting the knob turning the water on in falling on the carpet and going to sleep was pretty much all he could remember. we received a call today for water restoration in Charlotte from a customer that was experiencing border damage due to a leak with their water heater coming out of the closet in front of their home. In most situations when we respond to water damage cleanup as a caused from a water heater it is either in the garage the attic or in the kitchen area in this situation the water heater was located in the front of the house which was somewhat of a benefit to the customer because of water damage was only contained to the living room. The customer advised us that after walking down stairs this morning they realize that the entire carpet was wet in the water pressure in the house was low after investigating and looking for the source of the water they realize that the area where the water heater is contained was causing the water damage as water was coming out of the pipe. at that point they contacted us at Property Restoration Inc to respond to their home to provide water damage cleanup services and get the home dried out as soon as possible.

A customer called us for water restoration in Charlotte this morning due to a leaking dishwasher in their kitchen causing water damage to the floors in the kitchen area as well as the carpeted area in the living room. After initially trying to soak up most of the water their self the customer realized it was just a little bit too much and decided to contact us strictly for extracting at first but once we arrived to assess the water damage situation and how much possible water damage cleanup was necessary we advised the customer that just simply extracting the water was not going to do the job as the materials inside of the floor and parts of the drywall were extremely saturated and if we did not remove them as needs with our typical water restoration process it may create mold. the customer agreed and allowed us to proceed with the water damage Cleanup in the appropriate manner so after we extracted the water we removed the kitchen flooring as well as the flooring in the living room and look through some of the other areas in the house to evaluate the moisture readings so we could have a good idea of how much equipment we needed to properly dry out the home and rid it of any moisture and water damage that may remain.

A customer called in need of water restoration services at her home in east Charlotte on Ludell Ln. due an issue with her water heater sending water into her home causing a large amount of water damage during the night. During the conversation we attempted to alleviate the amount of water damage that was taking place by trying to walk the customer through the process of turning the water off at the main line unfortunately she was not able and once we arrive to proceed with the water restoration process the first thing we did was turn off the water at the line. When we walk inside we noticed there was water damage everywhere the kitchen floor was completely soaked with parts of the vinyl flooring peeling up and the carpet in the living room was lifting up from its backing due to the amount of saturation from the water damage that took place during the night. We quickly went through our water damage cleanup process and started with the extraction and removal of all of the wet materials 2 help us get the house as dry and as quick as possible. You know after the demo was complete we had to put a few dehumidifiers on the first floor as well as a lot of fans throughout the kitchen living room bathroom in the hallway. who received the call today for emergency water damage Cleanup in Charlotte from a customer that was experiencing major flooding inside of her home due to a broken water line in the wall. wow cooking breakfast this morning the customer stated that all of a sudden there was puddling of water on the kitchen floor and there was no explained reason to why the water was there since the faucet was off and when looking under the sink she could not find a leak. In addition she realize that no one spilled anything but the puddle was getting worse and more water was coming from that area of the kitchen. Eventually the water started coming faster creating water damage to the walls and floor and the customer realized that there was a hissing sound coming from the wall that was behind the refrigerator but on the side of the cabinet immediately she realized it was a big problem in contacted us for water restoration services to look into this. Once we got on the phone with the customer we took notes and evaluated the water damage situation to figure out if there was something that the customer can do to mitigate the amount of water damage until we arrived. We talked the customer through the process of turning the water off at the main line to give us time to get there without more water damage taking place. once we arrived we went forward with the water damage restoration process immediately.
