We received a call for water restoration in Charlotte to assist a customer experiencing water damage due to a broken fire hydrant outside of her home. This incident started after a car accident and lasted for about 20 minutes but the amount of water damage that occurred in the home prior to the fire departments arrival was enormous.

Loose Washing Machine Hose Floods West Charlotte Home
We received a call for water restoration services in Charlotte this morning at the house in the Northlake area off of Harris Blvd due to water damage that started in the laundry room. The customer stated that the washing machine may have been over filled in rattled from side to side bringing the water supply loose from the connection in the wall which made water flow all into the laundry room and eventually into other areas of the house causing water damage to wood large portion of the downstairs. Water Heater Leak in Charlotte on West Blvd
This morning we responded to record for water mitigation in Charlotte at home on West Boulevard that recently underwent major renovations due to the rehabilitation of the neighborhood. This was similar to a water damage cleanup call we received earlier in the week because of the type of property it was this was basically a rehabilitation property that was in distress and dramatically upgraded before suffering water damage. What basically created this situation and the need for water restoration services at their house was of all the things that were replaced during upgrade for some reason they did not install a new water heater and the water heater basically ruptured due to old age which resulted in a major amount of water damage to a large portion of the house that was recently upgraded and now after our water mitigation services are completed things have to be repaired all over again. This is also similar to something I mentioned about a water mitigation call we responded to yesterday. A lot of times water restoration services are highly preventable for customers. With a little maintenance or paying attention, changing a hose that needs to be changed, replacing a water heater, making sure you don’t leave the water on and much more are a few things that can prevent the need for a water restoration company to clean up water damage that could’ve been prevented.

Broken Water Line Floods Charlotte Home in Noda
We received a call this morning for emergency water restoration in Charlotte because of a broken water line in the wall of the customer home in the NODA area of Charlotte. Like many older homes in the area this house is a fixer upper. The customer stated they purchased the home last year and have been making some upgrades which may have caused one of the water lines to break inside the wall. As the water restoration company in Charlotte we deal with multiple situations that result in water damage cleanup being necessary and some of the things we are seeing in certain areas of the city are water restoration calls because of homes that are older being further damage due to repairs that are being done that may break a waterline and cause additional damage in a need for further repairs to the house specifically because of his age. Water Heater Leak at South Charlotte Home
We received a call this morning for water restoration in Charlotte at a home that was experiencing water damage due to a leak in their water heater. The customer stated that when the family woke up in the morning to prepare to go to church they noticed water all over the carpet and inside of the kitchen on the floor they look for the source of the water frantically and made their way to the garage where most of the water seemed to have did the most damage. While inside of the garage they noticed water coming from the pipe that was leading to the water heater soon after they contacted us at property restoration Inc. to assist him with the water damage cleanup process. When we arrive to move forward with the water mitigation process one of the first things we noticed was the amount of baseboard and drywall that needed to be demoed out due to the amount of water damage that was inside of the house. The customer did not understand why we had to remove so much of the drywall or the baseboard and we had to explain to the customer that when water damage occurs with his travels in places and causes damage to materials and building structures in a variety of ways. As we investigated because of the water damage and move forward with the process of water mitigation we look and noticed the flow of the water and explained to the customer how this happened typically what most people realize his water can flow underneath the baseboard from room to room and that is exactly what happened and is the reason they are in need of water restoration services simply because the water was leaking from the water heater in the garage bringing water damage to the connected rooms as water flowed under the walls flooding the house.

Charlotte Homeowner Returns From Church to Flooded House
A customer contacted us for water damage cleanup at there Charlotte home after returning home from Church to find their house is disarray due to a break in the water line under the kitchen sink. As they walked to the door they noticed water coming from under the door and could not understand why. They walked in and found a complete disaster with water damage to the entire first level of the house. Like a lot of customers water restoration is not something they are aware of. Luckily the homeowner knew how to turn off the main shut off valve to prevent further water damage. After a few hours of trying to clean up the water damage their self they contacted a plumber who advised they contact a water mitigation company in Charlotte.
