This resulted in water rushing into the basement causing significant water damage to walls portions of the ceiling and the entire floor in the basement. The main reason so much water damage accumulated was because the drainage from the house flowed right pass the window typically but a pile of leaves and other materials in the yard redirected the flow of water into the window which was open.
