Today we received a call for water damage cleanup for a home in Charlotte. The customer called us stating that the washing machine leaked all over the place once we arrive to provide the water mitigation services we discovered that it was more than just a leak.  As we look for that we realize that the hose the water supply line to the washing machine is what actually broke now typically in water mitigation and water restoration we learn things that prevent water damage one of the things that we learn in water mitigation is that you have to change hoses in water supply lines but so often in this case the water supply line to the washing machine was very very stiff which meant it was very old in the rubber inside of it is probably decaying and that’s why it cracked causing the leak needless to say we got to work and we were able to do a lot of the water damage cleanup very quickly now there was water damage to the laundry room to the kitchen and then also just to the living room so it wasn’t as bad as it could’ve been for the length of time the water was flowing uninterrupted into the home. Regardless shortly after we arrived we where able to proceed with the water mitigation process.

Water damage in the kitchen is a very common place for problems to occur resulting in the need to look for a water restoration company. That is exactly the situation our client this morning found his self in. While loading dishes in the dishwasher he found himself in the midst of a flood. Early this morning received a phone call for water restoration in Charlotte from a customer who returned home from running errands when he got home they realize there was water all over the place and this was a typical issue water was coming from the ceiling water was coming through the walls water was all over going down the steps and even outside of the house the reason for the water damage that she was suffering was because the water heater is located in the attic and It had a burst pipe leaving the hold in desperate need of a water mitigation company.

The main problem due to the water heater feeling is when the water heater is located in the attic water runs everywhere from the top down and not just out so mean well if it was in the garage it would’ve just ran out of the house but because it’s in the attic it runs from the top down or leave the house until he goes out of the house the water was running for about an about an hour or so for about two hours before the water damage was discovered and that was enough time to cause significant water damage to the home a lot of the home will have to go to the demolition process as part of water restoration services.

While providing water mitigation services a lot of the demolition we had to do was about 50% of the drywall in the second floor and almost all of the drywall on the first floor and then a little bit of the drywall in the basement a lot of the floors were suffered water damage as well. we had to rip up all the laminate flooring most of the carpet in some of the vinyl there was so much damage that the house is not going to be livable for a long time but that just comes with it that is part of the situation we’re dealing with water damage cleanup

This morning we answered a call for water damage cleanup in Charlotte for a home in the NODA community. The homeowner started the dishwasher and 30 minutes later the electricity went out in the house. While making his way to the fuse box he noticed he was standing in a large amount of water which is the reason the power went out.
