This morning we received a call for water damage cleanup in Charlotte for a customer that awoke to a flooded kitchen and laundry room due to a burst pipe in the supply line to the washing machine. The customer stated his wife typically washes cloths for the family in the evening before going to bed but this time it resulted in water damage to the first level of the home. After arriving we had to do heavy water extraction to remove the large amount of water in the laundry room that did not move to the other rooms. The demo was very extensive because of the amount of time the water damage continued unattended. As an inevitable part to all water mitigation calls as well in our services of water restoration in Charlotte demo is the part that customers hate the most. In this case water damage impacted at least 50 percent of the external walls which meant we will have to cut the walls to remove insulation along with much more.

Early this morning we received a call for emergency water restoration in Charlotte NC from a homeowner that woke up to a flood in her home causing a ton of water damage. The customer said that her daughter left the shower on after washing the night before and did not turn it off. Like most water damage calls it was something that took a little understanding for the customer but she allowed us to do our job as needed.

This afternoon we received a call for water damage cleanup from a customer in East Charlotte that came home from work to a flooded and dining room. She’s not sure how long the water damage was taking place or absolutely how it happens but as soon as she walked through the door and seen water coming from under the refrigerator she called us immediately for water restoration services. Once we arrived as we learned in water mitigation training to look for the source of the water damage to stop the flow. While looking for we realized it was coming from under the refrigerator and the water supply hose for the ice maker and fountain had a small break which resulted in water spilling on the floor for a long period of time. The damage was pretty much contained to the kitchen but required a complete demo of the kitchen because of the insulation in all walls that suffered water damage.

This morning we received a call for Water mitigation in Charlotte from a customer with a stuck water faucet that created a mess with water go everywhere for at least 2 hours. Her daughter was playing in the sink and broke the knob on the kitchen sink and went back to her room without telling her mom. The water from the sink overflowed and shot into the air leaving water damage on the other side of the island into the living room and kitchen. The customer came downstairs after her daughter said she spilled water to find a disaster. When we arrived to clean up the water damage she was very upset and embarrassed. Since our time in water restoration in Charlotte this has been an extremely busy week. Typically, during the spring most of our water damage cleanup calls involve storm damage or typical leaks and pipe burst that lead to water mitigation calls. This week we had 2 calls for water restoration due to a water main break and water running into a near by home. There where a few watermain breaks in the city today with a very large one in downtown Charlotte. We received a call for the water mitigation from a home off Central Ave in the Midwood community not far from downtown Charlotte. According to the city there where issues with some part of the water main that led to water damage issues in other sections due to excessive water pressure. The customer explained when he came home from work he found water flowing into his home under the walls in the backyard. Once we arrived the water was still coming inside and we had to wait for the city to turn off the water main before we can get started with the extraction part of the mitigation process. While we waited we where able to move some items and complete a small amount of demo.

A call came in this morning for water damage cleanup in Charlotte from a home off of Park Rd. The homeowner said he left the house to run some errands before his kids got on the bus for school. He returned a few hours after the kids left to find water coming from under his front door. He went inside and noticed the supply line to the toilet was shooting water all over the place causing water damage. This afternoon a call came in for water mitigation services for a home in South Charlotte off of Archdale rd. The customer came home from work to find their self in need of water damage cleanup services due to a leak in the kitchen sink water supply line. Luckily it did not appear to be shooting out for long because the water damage was contained to the kitchen and all of the lower cabinets. When we arrived, we proceeded with water restoration services as normal with extraction and cleanup followed by demo. The water damage was mainly to the floors and cabinets with the exception of an external wall that required demo because the insulation was very wet. At the end of the day there was so much more that could have suffered much more water damage but because the customer called us for mitigation services so fast and the fact it must have started not long before he made it home lessen the amount of water damage that took place.

We received a call this morning for water restoration in Charlotte from a customer on Rago St in the NorthLake area. After waking up to get ready for school the homeowners son made his way into the laundry room to get his cloths out of the dryer. Once he made it to the bottom step he felt the carpet was wet and followed the trail of water damage through the kitchen into the laundry room and immediately woke his parents. At the time the water was still coming in due to a break in the water supply line to the washing machine. After coming downstairs, the homeowner looked for water restoration companies near him and we arrived about 30 minutes later. So far, our team is still on location completing the demo and starting the drying process. We expect the home to be completely dry in the next 3 days.
