We received the call from a customer in need of water restoration in Charlotte due to a leak in their water heater which is located in the garage of their home. The customer arrived home from work this afternoon to find standing water in the garage with water streaming from the side of the water heater throughout the garage and under the door into the kitchen and living room of his house. when he realized what was going on the first thing he did was attempt to turn off the water to the water heater however that was unsuccessful due to the location of the valve. Because he was unable to turn it off at the location of the water heater he went outside to turn off the water from the main valve to lessen the amount of water damage that was taking place to his home at this time. shortly after he contacted a plumber who advised him to look for a water damage cleanup company and then he contacted us at Property Restoration inc to provide him with our water restoration services. The customer stated that he was in his room looking at TV when all of a sudden he noticed water coming down from the ceiling in the hallway he walked over to see what was happening and realize there were numerous areas of the ceiling that appeared that it was going to collapse on itself as well as areas of the war with water damage that were crumbling where the water hit the drywall. at that point he contacted us for water damage cleanup services when we arrived the first thing we did was turn off the main water line to the house to stop the flow of the water damage and mitigate what possibly we could before we got everything started with the water damage cleanup.
