this morning we received the call for water restoration in Charlotte from a customer that was going through a situation of water damage due to a common household chore. typically we find that we do not get many calls for emergency water damage cleanup from customers that are going to do this do to washing the dishes that is because if it involves dishes it is typically a leak in the dishwasher or a leak in a water supply line or something to that nature. This morning is called was because the homeowner gives her children chores and one of the things he likes her children to do is the traditional aspect of washing dishes but in this case one of the children turn the water on to run water for the dishes and forgot about it while doing something else and that cause a large amount of water damage that was isolated to the kitchen thank goodness but it could have been much worse.

Today’s Storm Caused Water Damage to Home on Providence Plantation Rd.
we received the call for water restoration in the Charlotte area today due to a major storm that dropped the rain all over the area. the customer advice us that a couple of their windows were open and there was an issue with one of the downspouts directing water from the roof that ended up shooting water into one of the bedrooms without them knowing the reason that it came into the bedroom somehow was because the downspout was aimed towards the wall of the house end the water followed somehow going in through the window into the home. This resulted in a large amount of water damage to multiple areas of the house because of the large amount of rain that happened today. once the customer called us we were able to make it out within 45 minutes and identify all of the areas that are experiencing water damage and quickly extract as much water as possible to minimize the impact of the water damage to that part of the home.

Dishwasher Problem Leads to Water Damage at Charlotte Home
today we received the call for water damage cleanup in Charlotte from a customer that found yourself in need of water restoration services due to a problem with your dishwasher. The customer explained that there was a problem with his door on the dishwasher that made dishwasher continue to run when typically there’s a safety mechanism that will turn the dishwasher off when the door is open this did not happen in this particular situation which created a large amount of water damage to the kitchen and living room of the customer’s home. when the dishwasher is running typically the water stays inside but in this situation the water did not wash the dishes but it shot everywhere outside of the door though visibly it looked closed it was also letting water out to get all over the place which brings us to today’s situation for water mitigation services. After realizing the situation the customer quickly turned the dishwasher off and tried his best to get the water up himself he used many towels but due to the massive amount of water in the area he was not able to clean up the water in a timely manner as well as absorb it all with the mini towels that he had out so after giving it another shot he had to contact our company for water restoration services to quickly clean up the water damage he is dealing with.

Broken Water Heater Line Caused Water Damage to Home
we received the call this morning for water restoration in Charlotte from a customer that was experiencing a major issue of water damage due to a common situation that a lot of water restoration companies deal with when it comes to addressing Kohl’s. The customer woke up in the middle of tonight and notice that the water pressure was low in the house but did not think anything of it and went back to sleep unfortunately when the customer woke up in the morning she realize that the house was flooded and there was a large amount of water damage throughout the home and she would be in need of water restoration services as soon as possible. She was unable to find the cause but once we arrived we quickly realized it was caused by the water heater which was sending water underneath the wall into the kitchen following the kitchen wall to the bathroom as well as to the living room. This completely saturated large areas of the home and put the customer in the situation that would require water restoration services immediately.

Issue With Knob For Washing Machine Floods Home.
We received the call for water damage cleanup in Charlotte at a home on enderly place in the West Charlotte community. The customer advised us that they were installing a new washing machine and started the water without connecting the water line to the washing machine accidentally. typically this would not have been a situation that would have needed the services of a water restoration company but due to an issue with the knob that turned on the water the amount of water that came out and the fact that there was no way to turn the water off made what would have been a simple solution of turning the water off a much more difficult solution and resulted in a large amount of water damage to the customer’s home. When the customer contacted us for water restoration services during the intake call we asked them if they knew how to turn water off at the main line and this was a challenging task for the customer because of the customers age so we made the decision that once we arrived we would have to turn the water off for them and that is exactly what we did during our arrival before we started the water restoration process. Overall this call would not have been necessary if it wasn’t for an issue with the knob that cause the water to not be able to turn off in addition the customer thought that the water line was connected to the washing machine which basically turned into a fountain running into the home without any way of stopping until we arrive to turn the water off at the main line.
