We received a call this morning due to a failed water heater that flooded a home on Reames Rd. The amount of water damage was very extensive because the water heater burst in the night.

Loose Washing Machine Hose Floods West Charlotte Home
We received a call for water restoration services in Charlotte this morning at the house in the Northlake area off of Harris Blvd due to water damage that started in the laundry room. The customer stated that the washing machine may have been over filled in rattled from side to side bringing the water supply loose from the connection in the wall which made water flow all into the laundry room and eventually into other areas of the house causing water damage to wood large portion of the downstairs. Water Heater Leak in Charlotte on West Blvd
This morning we responded to record for water mitigation in Charlotte at home on West Boulevard that recently underwent major renovations due to the rehabilitation of the neighborhood. This was similar to a water damage cleanup call we received earlier in the week because of the type of property it was this was basically a rehabilitation property that was in distress and dramatically upgraded before suffering water damage. What basically created this situation and the need for water restoration services at their house was of all the things that were replaced during upgrade for some reason they did not install a new water heater and the water heater basically ruptured due to old age which resulted in a major amount of water damage to a large portion of the house that was recently upgraded and now after our water mitigation services are completed things have to be repaired all over again. Washing Machine Leaks Floods Kitchen of Charlotte House
Water mitigation is preventable and a lot of situations that we encounter when providing water restoration in Charlotte. Today’s call for water damage cleanup was no different than some of the preventable situations of water damage. The customer called us this morning stating that their laundry room kitchen living room and dining room were drastically impacted by water damage. The customer stated that the carpet was completely saturated the vinyl flooring was peeling up in the kitchen the walls had water stains high on the bottom and much more. When looking for the source of the water the customer stated that water damage occurred from the laundry room and the water meters away throughout the house after damaging a lot of other areas from the laundry room to the garage. What makes this one a preventable situation of water damage cleanup is because this customer would not be in need of water mitigation services if it was not for their teenage son overloading the washing machine. After looking for water mitigation company in Charlotte the owner found us at Property restoration Inc. And we made our way to the house to look for not just the cause but how we can prevent this from happening in the future. When we walked inside the water was already off because the customer turned it off at the washing machine when he realize where the water was coming from but the preventable portion of water damage was strictly because they are teenage son overloaded the washing machine causing it to shake and the hose that supplies water to it to break away and flood the laundry room. Typically this could’ve been resolved rather quickly if the customers son was washing clothes and stayed downstairs at the time but like a lot of people we tend to wash our clothes before going to bed or while doing other things and not paying attention to the preventable issues that can cause water damage. Another factor is if the washing machine was not overloaded it would not have broken away and caused the water damage along with in if the customers son did not go upstairs while washing clothes late at night they would’ve heard the water running through out the night and stopped it. Leaking Refrigerator Water Supply Floods Charlotte Home Near Southpark
We received a call for water damage cleanup in Charlotte around 3 o’clock this afternoon from a customer that was managing the property for the homeowner while the homeowner tended to their daily duties. The customer stated that they went downstairs to the guest house and noticed smoke coming from an outlet in the floor and he followed the outlets line through conduit which was filled with water to an area near the refrigerator. The customer stated that she seen smoke in the room coming from the outlet because the water was making the outlet spark and create smoke all over the place which was resulted from the constant water leaking into the area where the outlet was alone with creating water damage to the entire downstairs when we arrived to proceed with the water restoration services one of the first things we noticed was the amount and how far the water spread through out the downstairs area. Initially we felt that the scope of the water mitigation needs would be minimal but as we took additional moisture readings around the room to see how much water damage was present it appeared to be in a much larger area then expected.

Broken Water Line Floods Charlotte Home in Noda
We received a call this morning for emergency water restoration in Charlotte because of a broken water line in the wall of the customer home in the NODA area of Charlotte. Like many older homes in the area this house is a fixer upper. The customer stated they purchased the home last year and have been making some upgrades which may have caused one of the water lines to break inside the wall. Water Heater Leak at South Charlotte Home
We received a call this morning for water restoration in Charlotte at a home that was experiencing water damage due to a leak in their water heater. The customer stated that when the family woke up in the morning to prepare to go to church they noticed water all over the carpet and inside of the kitchen on the floor they look for the source of the water frantically and made their way to the garage where most of the water seemed to have did the most damage. While inside of the garage they noticed water coming from the pipe that was leading to the water heater soon after they contacted us at property restoration Inc. to assist him with the water damage cleanup process. When we arrive to move forward with the water mitigation process one of the first things we noticed was the amount of baseboard and drywall that needed to be demoed out due to the amount of water damage that was inside of the house. The customer did not understand why we had to remove so much of the drywall or the baseboard and we had to explain to the customer that when water damage occurs with his travels in places and causes damage to materials and building structures in a variety of ways. As we investigated because of the water damage and move forward with the process of water mitigation we look and noticed the flow of the water and explained to the customer how this happened typically what most people realize his water can flow underneath the baseboard from room to room and that is exactly what happened and is the reason they are in need of water restoration services simply because the water was leaking from the water heater in the garage bringing water damage to the connected rooms as water flowed under the walls flooding the house.

Broken Pipe Floods East Charlotte Home
We received a call for emergency water mitigation in Charlotte this afternoon when a customer returned home from work to find her whole house flooded. The customer walked in from work to find water coming from under her front door and outside of her garage when she walked inside she had no idea what was causing the water damage or how to clean it up she looked around for about five minutes and called friends and family for help in a panic because the water was still rushing into her house and she had no idea how to stop it or where it was coming from she just heard it from inside of the walls.
