Parents can easily get familiar with this bad habit until it causes thousands in dollars in water damage to your house. That was the situation for one of our water mitigation clients in Charlotte this afternoon. After picking up the kids from school they where told to go wash their hands to prepare for a snack after taking too long in the bathroom they where called downstairs and left the water on cause a flood in the bathroom and the need for water damage clean up services all over the house.

Inside Wall Water Damage of Ridgewood Ave Home
This morning’s water mitigation call was from a customer that noticed water flowing into the house from behind the wall. According to the customer over the past few weeks the drywall appeared to become softer in areas but they just thought it was nothing major and it just needed to be replaced. What essentially happen was a pin hole in the pipe led to water damage happening at a slow pace then it finally gave way which resulted in a rush of water inside the wall. After they called us for water restoration services we arrived to water flowing freely from behind the wall. After turning off the water from the main line we went to work.

Broken Pipe Water Damage at South Charlotte Home
Broken pipes make up a large portion of our calls for emergency water mitigation services in Charlotte. This afternoon we received a call for water restoration to clean up water from a broken pipe on a house in the steel creek area on silver coach ln. The customer was at work most of the day but from the amount of water we extracted it seems like it may have flowed for about 4 hours causing water damage to the first level and all exterior walls.

University Area Washing Machine Leak
Washing machine leak at house on Vinca Circle in the university area of Charlotte caused water damage to multiple condo’s. We where called to provide water mitigation services at around 11:45 am because the family arrived back home from work to find water flooding the bottom floor where the laundry room is located. After a quick search the source turned out to be the washing machine.

Broken Pipe Flooded Charlotte Home Sharon View Dr
A Broken pipe flooded a home on Sharon View Dr in Charlotte this morning causing a massive amount of water damage and need for water clean-up services. We where called to the home earlier today to find water flooding the home uncontrollably. The most important thing when dealing with water damage is to stop the source of water as soon as possible unfortunately the homeowner did not know how to shut off the main line. After arriving the first thing we did was turn off the main line and then we proceeded with mitigation to control the water damage.

Tub Overflow in East Charlotte
This evening we received a call for a flooded bedroom and living room that resulted from a tub overflow. The customer stated that she was preparing a bath and forgot the water was running while she was cooking. While in the kitchen she noticed water coming from the kitchen ceiling and down the wall. After we arrived we quickly addressed the areas of water damage so things can dry out as soon as possible.

Dishwasher Leak in East Charlotte Home
Similar to our water damage clean up call from yesterday the hose on some appliances in the kitchen always seem to fail every now and then. This morning we received a call for a flooded kitchen due a leak in the hose for the dishwasher.

Flintgrove Rd Hose Leak in Charlotte
This afternoon our customer on Flintgrove Rd came home from work to find water flowing down the driveway even thou it was not raining. She parked the car and looked for the source and followed it to the garage door. The source of the leak was a broken hose behind her refrigerator in the kitchen. After extracting a ton of water from multiple areas in the kitchen, and throughout the house we spent the last 5 hours planning for the demo and our approached to drying all of the water damaged areas starting in the morning.
